Two optional entries
Choosing to remember display comfort creates two local-storage entries: turemaki-privacy-choice holds the acknowledgement, and turemaki-motion holds the movement preference. Both are specific to this website in the current browser.
There is no built-in expiry date for these entries. They remain until you change the setting, clear the site’s browser data or remove them with browser tools. They are not sent to the local contact inbox and are not used as advertising identifiers.
An acknowledgement saved on an earlier version of this same site can still be recognised. You can change that decision at any time.
A separate security cookie
The contact page obtains a random token from its PHP endpoint. That endpoint also puts the token in a session cookie. On submission, the handler compares the posted value with the cookie before accepting the request.
This cookie supports the form’s security and is independent of the optional remember checkbox. If your browser blocks it, submission may fail. Session restoration differs between browsers, so closing a window should not be treated as a guaranteed way to erase it.
Your trail is not stored
The chosen route, RGB sliders, warm-to-green blend, observation ticks and atlas filter have no persistent activity record. They are simply the current state of the page. Reloading starts a fresh visit.
The website itself does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Information in a sent message, or in an ordinary hosting log, is a separate matter covered by the privacy notice.
Make a fresh choice
Open the settings below to review both options. Unticking Remember my display preference and pressing Apply choices removes the optional stored entries. Reduced motion can still be used for the current page.
Clearing this site’s data in browser settings can also remove the form’s security cookie. If that happens, open or reload the contact page to obtain a new token before sending a message.
